OCTOBER NEWS

Happy October George Mason community,

This month will be lively and proactive for the Black Male Success Initiative (BMSI). If you are looking to polish your resume, be sure to stop by Merten Hall 1202 for the Mark it Your Skills: Resume Workshop on October 6 from 4:30-5:30 pm.

After fall break, the BMSI will be venturing to Washington, DC to tour the National Museum of African American History and Culture on October 15th. There, we will be exploring the history evolution and origins of Black culture!

Following that, we will be hosting another workshop titled The Spook Who Sat by the Door on October 20 at 6:00 pm in the JC meeting room B 326. We will hold discussions that will touch on activism and leadership in response to Kanye’s political publicity stunt.

Finally, we will be partnering with Outdoor Adventures on a hiking trip to take on Hawksbill loop at Shenandoah National Park on October 29th

Hope to see you there and enjoy the spooky season!
